Specifically, X386mono will display its startup messages, switch the vga to graphics mode (displaying a few random dots) and then terminate after about one second. No core dump appears to have been generated. Does anyone have any ideas about what might be going on? System configuration: CompuAdd 325s with built-in VGA interface 386BSD 0.1 with kernel patches from XFree86 distribution 6 Mbytes memory 12 Mbytes swap Chris Flatters cflatter@nrao.edu
