I tried to export each directory in the /dists I figured it out my self. Just incase anybody else tries this. When the install program asks for the NFS File Specification, give it -r 1024 -w 1024 192.192.192.1:/e This tells the mount command to use 1024 as the max size. I would think that the -w is not really needed, but I put it in anyhow. The Trpoic NFS can not handle anything bigger. It does not trotally fail, but you get some files to transfer, and some do not. It would depend on the size of the file and how many. One more note. The Tropic version I have 1.1a, gets bogged down after a few minutes of running. It took almost 2 hours just to copy the /bin files! Once it changes directories, it stats back up fast again. Then when it runs for a while more, bang! It slows down to a crawl. No idea why yet. I will look at some other choices maybe. My problem with FTP was related to the fact that the FTP will only allow a couple files transfered per session until it is regestered. I was testing, so it is not registered. I suppose it would work after that. -- Jeff Kane jkane@execpc.com Sysop - Home Brew University BBS Brew City Campus 414-238-9074 Genealogy Search: Brickner, Kane, Kimbro, LaClaire, Snyder|Snider, Seecs|Seetch|Sich, and Thorton.
