The following works on FreeBSD 2.0R and FreeBSD2.1R. ifconfig ep0 inet 194.163.120.xyz alias route add 194.163.120.xyz localhost The route add is necessary so you can ping yourself. I have over 20 aliases on one machine without any problems.
