So, with much trepidation, I guessed that they might be 3c501 based, and compiled a kernel. Happily enough, when I rebooted with the new kernel, the driver reports that it found el0 at 0x300 irq 9. However, I can't access my second serial port anymore without silo overflow errors. Also, it doesn't seem to matter what free IRQ I set the kernel to probe, as it comes back with the Ethernet address anyway. So, how do I stop it conflicting with sio1 (I've already moved it to COM4, with no luck), and does anyone have a description of how to set the jumpers. The card is marked as part no 1248-01, rev D, it's an 8 bit card with AUI and 10Base2 (BNC) connectors on it. There is a large PLCC chip to the back of the card, with a stylised DI, and 0755-02 and 8747 on it. There is also a socket for what looks like a boot EPROM on it. Thanks for any help. --- csd Going to church does not make a person religious, nor does going to school make a person educated, any more than going to a garage makes a person a car.
