I have just tried installing the 2.1.0 release on my home system. It is
a 486 with 3 IDE drives. I have one DOS partition and one FreeBSD partion
on each of the 3 drives. When I try to install the system, I get the
following error shortly after committing to the install:

Unable to make root filesystem on /dev/rwd0a!
  Command returned status 136

I have tried installing from a second boot floppy, and have also tried
installing the root filesystem on a different hard disk, but still
had the same problems. The boot loader was installed and the FreeBSD
partitions were made, but that is as far as the installation procedure
goes.

I don't know if this matters, but I previously had linux partitions on two
of the disk drives, and had the "lilo" boot loader installed. During
the installation, I deleted these partitions and created FreeBSD partitons
in their place.
