Properly installed a simple make does everything for you (ftp'ing the source, patches it, ...). make install installs. >Question 2: > If I need to compile and build a new gcc/g++ environment under FreeBSD, >are there any pit falls I should now about prior to compiling. The new pgcc (pentium optimized gcc) is also available in the FreeBSD ports collection. If you want to use another version, go the recommended way: configure --prefix=/usr/local i386-unknown-freebsd or whatever target is possible... After that do a make bootstrap and go and drink some coffees. -- aklemm@wup.de /\/\___ Wiechers & Partner Datentechnik GmbH Andreas Klemm ___/\/\/ - Support Unix -
