I have a an older SCSI CD-ROM Drive made by NEC. I have two problems
with it. The first is that neither xcd or xcdplayer seem to be able to
get it to play a CD. They appera to be unable to determine that a CD
is in the drive (I see some error messages from the driver). The second
is, if I boot without a CD-ROM in the drive, I can not latter mount
anything, mount says the drive is busy.

Any thoughts? Any pointers as to where in the drivers to look to make
fixes/hacks? Anybody gotten around similar problems?

Thanks.
