:   My guess that the terminal server is choking on CSLIP headers & TCP
: extensions.  Try plain SLIP (not CSLIP).

We are using regular SLIP (not CSLIP) and hope to try PPP as soon as I have
the time to fiddle with it.  I'm not 100% certain what our ISP is using for
a terminal server but i'll see if I can find out.

I haven't had a problem with any other protocol (http, ftp, pop, telnet), just
smtp ..
