Date: 12 Feb 1996 10:01:12 GMT Organization: University of Tromsoe, Norway Lines: 20 Distribution: world Message-ID: <MAGNER.96Feb12110112@hstud1.cs.uit.no> NNTP-Posting-Host: hstud1.cs.uit.no I have an ATI Mach64 Xpression PCI w/2Mb DRAM. When I try to run the Mach64 XServer on a FreeBSD 2.1.0R system, strange things happen: - When I try to move windows around, I get a lot of 'spurrius' drawing, esp. lots (and lots) of diagonal lines (looks like it is the window frames which are drawn diagonally). The lines get drawn over both the root window and any other windows I have up. This problem occurs no matter what wm I use (I've tried twm and fvwm). - I also tried the server with the '-bpp 16' option, but then the system hangs after a few keypresses. If anyone else have experienced this problem, I would like to hear from you. (Especially if you have found a solution to the problems.) -- //// Magne Rasmussen | e-mail: magner@stud.cs.uit.no / /// Department of Computer Science/IMR | Phone: +47 77 67 52 89 (home) // // University of Tromsoe | +47 77 64 54 97 (off.) /// / N-9037 Tromsoe, NORWAY | http://www.cs.uit.no/~magner ////
