What I've been doing so far is to, for example, get into the ..ports/shells/tcsh directory and just typing "make". Although that worked Ok for tcsh and didn't cause any damage (as far as I know), is there some way that the documentation (installation guide, READMEs, etc.) can be read prior to doing the make? I tried to do it with Elm but that fell in a _big heap_ and there were heaps of things that I had to check _before_ I did the installation but I didn't _know_ that until after I had attempted to install the thing... and have left a big mess around the system. Anyway, any clues on a procedure to let me read about things before doing it would be appreciated :) John
