Or the January SNAP?? No. These patches were submitted last summer, but they were dismissed by a core member even though the patches fix the problem in the code that existed at that time. (Apparently this guy doesn't rely on UUCP a much.) Anyway, the author of Taylor UUCP now reports that version 1.06.1 contains similar functionality.
