The linker always complains: 'undefined symbol ... referenced from text segment' - and that for all X functions in the program. I set the LD_LIBRARY_PATH and LD_RUN_PATH to /usr/X386/lib and compiled with options -L/usr/X386/lib and -lX11 What am I doing wrong ??? Thanks for any help, Marius. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Marius Witke | The human mind ordinarily operates | at only ten percent of its capacity witke@cs.tu-berlin.de | --- the rest os overhead for the Technical University of Berlin, Germany | operating system. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
