I am about to purchase a 486SX-25 system and I would like to be able to run dos and/or unix as well as X. Is there a way to do this without rebooting each time? I've seen things that will "simulate" unix and give you most of the functionality, but I don't want that. As far as hardware goes, are there things to definately be avoided if I'm planning to run Linux or any of these other unix derivatives? I gather that Diamond Stealth video cards are a no-no for XFree386... True? Will a generic SVGA card without a windows accelerator be just as good for X?
