At first I thought I might need faster cache, but in the end found out that if I used 8x32K L2 (15ns, 256K) everything would work fine at the fastest settings - With 4x64K or 4x8K or even 4x128K, the lack of interleaving requires slower settings or even no L-2 to get the system to be stable.
