If you set up the XKeysymDB file in the right location (or set the XKEYSYMDB environment variable to point to the right dir), and put the nls directory in the right place (I put mine in /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/nls, with a symlink from /usr/X11 to /usr/X11R6), then Netscape should work without all those messages. I think all this is in the README (though there isn't a FreeBSD section).
