I've got Netscape on a FreeBSD box and it sort of : works but it gives a whole bunch of "Translation table" (or some such) errors : and crashes when I try to paste into a text window even though I have the nls : directory which is supposed to stop that from happening. So can I make : Netscape work or can someone recommend another browser (with version, etc. : ideally) that they know works well on FreeBSD. You need to copy the nls directory and the XKeysymDB File included in the Netscape distribution in order to have NLS functions and the Motif Keysym Table available. XKeysymDB goes to /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/XKeysymDB (IF NOT YET THERE!!!) nls/ goes to /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/nls/ Set 2 environment variables: XNLSPATH should be the path where the nls directory can be found, normally "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/nls". XKEYSYMDB is the location of the X Keysym table, in the above example this would be "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/XKeysymDB". If you have installed your Xfree in any other location, you must copy these files in the appropriate locations and set the env vars accordingly.
