Does anyone know about problems with the newest -stable ??? I've supped it
yesterday and it srashed my router ;-( I used the same config file
buu with FIREWALL options set up. Could FIREWALL options affect -stable:
options IPFIREWALL
options IPFIREWALL_VERBOSE
options IPACCT
After booting new kernel my Free box lost TCP/IP Activity (routing table was
filled in a proper way) but nothing worked. It is a router which worked just
fine with previous -stable and I had no problems.
When I used older kernel to boot my router (all binaries are new), it worked
and now is OK but:
- NFS client hangs up when it tries to get remote dir. from my FBOX,
- rlogin client gives me the following message when I try to connect to it:
jarekb@cergowa:pts/2 ~ (16)% rlogin gerlach
Protocol error, gerlach closed connection
Telenet works!
Hughhh I try to figure out what is going on but now I am totally confused ;-(.
Another FreeBSD box with older -stable works more than fine. Please do not
ignore this and send me some comment - core team ;-(

PS. Yes, i posted this letter to freebsd-stable@freebsd.org but got no answer.
If anyone need some tcpdump or anything else please let me now.
