I ran into that problem. The NFS server I am using does not understand Rock Ridge ( I know, change it!) and it will not let me either ftp or nfs load the ports or packages. I end up ftping them to the FreeBSD box and doing them locally instaed one at a time. It would be nioce if it would work in the 8.3 environment for install puropses also. Not a requirement though. -- Jeff Kane jkane@execpc.com Sysop - Home Brew University BBS Brew City Campus 414-238-9074 Genealogy Search: Brickner, Kane, Kimbro, LaClaire, Snyder|Snider, Seecs|Seetch|Sich, and Thorton.
