Date: 8 Mar 1996 18:17:56 GMT Organization: University of Illinois at Urbana Lines: 24 Message-ID: <4hptkk$rm8@vixen.cso.uiuc.edu> NNTP-Posting-Host: ux5.cso.uiuc.edu X-Newsreader: TIN [version 1.2 PL2] Hi, Has anyone reported success/failure in installing NetBSD on a Mac PowerBook 150? This model has an IDE hard drive.. I wasn't sure if that complicates things. I've been told that the driver for the IDE disk is in the ROM of the PB150, and for that reason, I couldn't partition the disk. Can NetBSD coexist on a common partition with System 7? Can NetBSD run on this strange IDE drive configuration? I checked the NetBSD for Mac web page and the mailing list archives, but never saw any mention of the PB150. And I'm quite new to the Mac world, so forgive me if I've neglected to look to an 'obvious' source for answers to these questions. Thanks!
