When booting up from floppy, FreeBSD doesn't what [0]to recognize my IDE Panansonic 563 Cdrom. Looking in the doc's it says [0]when at the boot prompt use -c to configure for special things. Is this [0]what I'm suppose to do and I see no examples for Cdrom. Are you sure it is an IDE CD-ROM drive? The Panasonic drives with the 563 designation are normally proprietary interface drives that connect to a sound card or other board with a "Panasonic/Creative" interface. The connector is the same size as an IDE, but the signals are all different. Please send EMAIL with the exact model number off the drive label and the type of card you are connecting it to and I'll try to get you started. Also, I assume you meant 2.1.0 and not 2.0.1. If you think you made a mistake on the drive ID, try booting -c and type port matcdc0 -1 and see if the matcd driver (for 562/563 Proprietary drives) can find the drive now.
