(I am guessing it would have to do with the speed of your processor and available memory/IO) Ocassionaly running out of process on our poor news server... :> Setting to CHILD_MAX and OPEN_MAX= 256 caused the machine to 'drop' off the net for up to 30 minutes at a time without actually crashing, and 128 while more VERY stable, leads to the dreaded out of processes message a little to often. 128Megs of Memory and a P100... Any suggestions folks? Paul
