I have an answer: get slirp 1.0c for yourself and compile it.

I have and it works like a charm.  Check ftp.nl2k.edmonton.ab.ca/pub/Unix.

If it is NOT available, send e-mail to root@nl2k.edmonton.ab.ca and
will correct the circumstance.
