I've noticed that this daemon is dying every now and then and I'm not sure why. To get ppp going again, I have to 'su' up to root and issue: 'ppp -auto isp.site'. I've found the following in /var/log/ppp.log: RecvEchoRep: his magic is wrong! expect: 2207bb9b got: 2207bb40 RecvEchoRep: his magic is wrong! expect: 2207bb9b got: 2207bb40 RecvEchoRep: his magic is wrong! expect: 2207bb9b got: 2261db40 RecvEchoRep: his magic is wrong! expect: 2207bb9b got: 2261db40 RecvEchoRep: his magic is wrong! expect: 2207bb9b got: 2207db40 I'm not sure if the above has anything to do with the daemon dying though. Anyone have any ideas? thanks John Rushford wjjr@alisa.org
