Give the man a BEER! That was the problem with the trap statement. Thanks!
I have built this code on several other systems and none of them 
complained, Oh Well..

I checked the aliases and didn't see anything that looks like a problem. 
I also have the stuff at the top of that script that looks like it should 
turn off reading the environment files.
