Date: 22 Mar 1996 06:29:09 GMT Organization: School of Computing Sciences, UTS Lines: 18 Message-ID: <4ithbl$44c@woodstock.socs.uts.EDU.AU> NNTP-Posting-Host: sally.socs.uts.edu.au X-Newsreader: TIN [version 1.2 PL2] I am unable to Install freebsd on a quantum xp34300 (4 gig scsi). My problem is that it does not like the geometry and gives me a default gemetry of: 4101/64/32. Where as i was able to install netbsd 1.1 on 3907/20/107. Does any one have a geometry that works or is there anyway to set the geometry to the one i used with netbsd, as it seems to dislike the geometries i set when the sectors is over 63. thanx in advance. phil -- Phil Shead phil@socs.uts.edu.au Computer Science Student phil@ftoomsh.progsoc.uts.edu.au University of Technology, Sydney http://ftoomsh.progsoc.uts.edu.au/~phil Ph: +61-2-417-1864.
