I can get some things to work with AMD like they do with
sun automount. 

What I can't seem to figure out is how to make amd
do what sun automount does for ``direct'' maps.  The
type=direct AMD file system seems to be the right
idea, but I can't get it to work as described.

Any pros who do this?
