Since the Speedstar 24 has 25 and 28 MHz as default rates, you can always use those. Plus, if you're willing to boot to DOS right after starting your computer and running the VMODE.EXE program supplied with the card, you can get Xfree to run with the card's faster rates. This is a headache, however, so I recommend buying another card if you want to use Xfree. -- Brett J.
