We use their version of RADIUS with our Computone IntelliServers running from FreeBSD 2.1.0R. All you should need to do is uncomment the lines in the Makefile for the FreeBSD target (the variations are grouped by OS so it's a breeze). I tried the Livingston version of RADIUS, and I wasn't impressed with it (for one thing, I could never get the accounting features to work). MERIT's is much better, and I think even much more current. Kowabunga!
