At that point my system hung. : Is this a know problem? : -- : Robert Withrow -- X8256 (+1 508 436 8256) Well if it wasn't a known problem before, it is now. :) The MFS support still has some lurking bugs, I'm sure. That aside, I have been using it successfully on my machine at home as a replacement for /tmp. Basically, I've mounted my swap partition as a tmpfs on /tmp. Note however that once I do that, I _never_ umount it. (So far I haven't had to.) I've had my machine up for 60+ days at a time with this configuration (last time I rebooted, it was because XFree86 clobbered my console :). This is with both FreeBSD 2.1.0 and 2.0.5. -Bill -- ============================================================================= -Bill Paul (212) 854-6020 | System Manager, Master of Unix-Fu Work: wpaul@ctr.columbia.edu | Center for Telecommunications Research Home: wpaul@skynet.ctr.columbia.edu | Columbia University, New York City ============================================================================= "If you are in trouble, go the CTR.
