The .xinitrc is important for a beginner to X window users.
It calles the twm (tab window manager) supplied with the XFree86. In
fact I took this from the startx manual.
For a 3button mouse like mousesystems, the functions are:
postion left middle right
background calls menu
on window select region return select up to
on top bar select/raise down window ?
Keyboard commands are:
ctrl+alt+del = kill server (useful to get out of a crash)
ctrl+alt+- = toggle modes( try this a few times to get a nice picture/size)
Any other key commands? Where can I get the info?
Any other window managers?
What is the point of having the xdm?
xrdb -load $HOME/.Xresources
xsetroot -solid gray &
# xbiff -geometry -430+5 &
oclock -geometry 75x75-0-0 &
xload -geometry -80-0 &
xterm -geometry +0+60 -ls &
xterm -geometry +0-100 &
xconsole -geometry -0+0 -fn 5x7 &
exec twm
