I just had the same problem with an ASUS P100 PCI board. I sent mail to
BSDI support about it, mainly suggesting that they redirect error output
to another vc, as aside from being annoying, I can't see any signs of
it causing any problems. I think it's just a slight bug in the chip
they're using for the onboard floppy controller. Someone told me ASUS
had a similar problem with another floppy controller chip late last
year. That chip worked fine in DOS and Windows, but crashed OS/2. This
isn't the same chip though, I checked.
