Hi! I've just upgraded my 2 years old Elitegroup EISA/VLB mainboard with an AMD5x86-133 overclocked to 160 MHz. The system contains an Adaptec EISA 1742 SCSI controller. The kernel compile time decreases from 860 sec to 480 sec (user cpu time) although the board does not support WB L1 cache! And the system is rock stable. These upgrade was the only possibility not to throw away the Adaptec and my #9GXE64 S3 video card (170000 xstones, 1152x900, 80 Hz, 8 bit). I can recommend this CPU without any restrictions.
