hi hasty,

please, don't comment on FreeBSD vs XXnus.
if one use XXnux, do let him/her be.

BSD had long been a stable and common platform for unix development,
there's few commonly known unix based applications w/o a BSD port.
X11 use lots of BSD-specific library and system calls and provide
a BSD compatible library for SYSV only systems.

source tree of BSD unix is well maintained, too.

we, BSD-based system developers are to change the world,
one step at a time.
