Comments on the cause/solution? That makes two of us. Usually the slow 'net add gateway..' occurs after I reboot to try to wake up Apache, which seems to about die from time to time. Otherwise the machine boots very quickly (and Apache usally runs fine). I swapped from a DLink DE220 (NE2000) to a 3c5x9 card to see if that's the problem. More details (the whole boot esquence) available if necessary. Again, any ideas??? -Glen -- gmann@haven.ios.com ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Gary Willis: "If I had to put D'Addario strings on my bass, I'd give up music and become a drummer."
