*THIS* is a valid reason for not carrying the GPL software, though it's
pretty short-sighted: after all, the user group can get their single copy
from somewhere else and you lose just as many sales, *plus* the one you
would have made to the user group.

I know quite a few retail stores, by the way, that will sell you a floppy
full of freeware for some moderate charge ($5 or so), and I've seen RACKS
of this stuff at checkout counters.
