They just can't seem to find the device even though i clearly specify it. cdplay, cdplayer, and xcd work w/o problem (well, xcd seems to be buggy as hell). I notice that in the man page for workman, it says it plays SCSI drives... i'm just being optimistic here, i guess. - Netscape 2.0 either has some memory leak problem or it takes up progressively larger amounts of swap. Is there a graphical web browser out there that's reasonably compatible with Netscape extensions and isn't bloated with ludicrous mail and news programs? Christ, Netscape 2.0 takes up more resident memory than my X server... - console comes by default off in /etc/ttys. Do i have to disable ttyv0 to turn console on? Would this affect anything? I did it basically because xterm -C wasn't capturing console messages from ttyv0. - My sendmail is acting weird... i telnet to port 25 locally and it just hangs there for a while. I hit enter and it says 500 command unrecognized, and i get a message on console similar to Mar 14 14:23:45 ennui sendmail[19873]: NOQUEUE: SYSERR: putoutmsg (ennui.ops.best.com): error on output channel sending "220 ESMTP spoken here": Invalid argument This doesn't happen if i go to 25 from another host. Is it my telnet? - One line: "Mar 16 03:30:01 ennui inetd[88]: /usr/local/sbin/identd: exit status 0x100". I also get lots of "Mar 16 04:12:37 ennui last message repeated 578 times". What did i break? I think that's enough dumb questions for today... thanks rone -- Ron Echeverri Best Internet Technical Support rone@best.net e my job. I love my job. I love my job. I love my job.
