That 'vanilla' SCSI controller is a Compaq version of an NCR controller. You will have to disable it and install a card that is supported by BSDI. Buslogic EISA would be a good choice for the Proliant. BTW, BSDI does not do SMP so I hope you don't have a full set of processor boards. -mh
