Has anyone successfully > installed FreeBSD from IDE CDROM? > > wallace Hello Wallace, I installed FreeBSD 2.1 some time ago from a Mitsume FX300 ATAPI CDROM drive. I just followed the instructions and had no problem to complete the installation. I did not build the boot disk, but started directly from DOS (I think). The machine was a 386/40 with a 240 MB IDE disk and a 1GB SCSI disk. The CDROM drive was attached as the slave on a simple IDE host adapter. Thomas
