I did check the IRQs and addresses. They are not conflicting and
I also made sure that kernel configuration file has the correct
addresses and IRQs.

Anyway, I fixed my problem. This is how I fixed it. I have moved
my ethernet card from one PCI slot to another PCI slot. The problem
disappeared! I am curious to know why this happened. The PCI slot
I was using is a shared PCI/ISA slot. I moved it to a PCI only slot.
