I have a [0]Panasonic drive on port 0x338. Doing a Boot: -c I've set the [0]Matsushita/Panasonic driver to port 0x338, but it still doesn't recognize [0]the drive. What version of FREEBSD? If you don't have a genuine Creative Labs SoundBlaster (or CD-interface card), you MUST be running FreeBSD 2.1.0, which supports non-Creative Labs cards. Also, what Model of Matsiuhita CD-ROM drive? If it is a CR-562/CR-563, then matcd is the correct driver. If you have a 4X or faster drive, it is probably an IDE drive and you should be tweaking settings on that driver. If it is a CR521, CR522, or CR523 (1x speed) drive, it isn't supported yet. Please read the instructions in the HARDWARE.TXT and INSTALL.TXT. If that info doesn't help, send me EMAIL. FYI, the flags do nothing because the matcd driver is able to figure the hardware details out (except for the I/O port as that code is disabled by default) by itself.
