When I boot up NetBSD 1.1/i386 I get the following messages:

writing to routing socket: File exists
add host natrix.wcrb.com gateway localhost: File exists

My machine is on an Ethernet network.

There don't seem to be any practical consequences to these messages, but 
I'd like to know what they mean.
