Uh, the poster answering this isn't asking about the current support of the card, what about the later support?? I believe Diamond DROPPED their support for Diamond Viper VLB (P9000 based) for Win95. If you want to use the card, you must use the BUGGY beta version of the driver that they have. (Built sometime like April of 95..) Some POOR helpless guy like me is STUCK with the Viper now... It CAME with all the drivers for Windows 3.1, 3.11, etc.. That wasn't the question here. You say, " It is an old card, why don't you just get a Millanium(:))" But I don't NEED that kind of speed now, I was DEFINITELY happy with the performance of Viper. Hey, I BET my viper is faster than Cirrus logic 2MB DRAM card (supported) or Trident cards, etc... Now, I will probably have to live with BUGGY driver, just because the manufacturer DROPPED their support for it. (Not even a stable driver, I mean, I am not really asking for OPTIMAL drivers, but I am asking for a STABLE one, not beta one..) anyways.. IF there was a sourcecode for the diamond viper VLB card driver for win95 (I don't know, do you think they (diamond) will give out??) I MAY even try to debug the code (I am not a GOOD coder, but then again, I think I can find my way around them, besides, I bet there are others who may share same desire as me..) Hey, Diamond sucks, but if they give out the source code at LEAST, then we may have some chance. :) IF, later on, Accelerated-X drops their support of Millenium due to their resource constraints? (Unlikely, you say? That is the reason that Diamond gave for dropping Viper support..) Are you going to be stuck with X11R6 until then?? IF you had sourcecode, then you MAY have chance of upgrading it to Cool X11R9 that is the current at that time.. :) Or at least, XFree will pick it up and make it current. I don't want to debate whether Accel-x is good or bad, paying is good or bad, but DEFINITELY good thing is to have source code that everyone can look at.
