This drive does connect to the Panasonic/Creative electrical interface, but has a completely different command set and is not supported by FreeBSD. The only supported Panasonic/Creative interface drives at this time are the CR-562 and CR-563, both made by Matsushita. This is covered in the HARDWARE.TXT and other readable files in the root directory on the CD-ROM.
