I see that NetBSD >and FreeBSD use Taylor UUCP, so my guess is that this code is either >"encumbered" or proprietary to BSDI. BSD/OS UUCP is derived from "UUNET UUCP", which Rick Adams commissioned and which UUNET makes available in source form to their customers. The intent of this version of UUCP was to recreate "BSD UUCP" without any V7 encumberances. Wherever this UUCP differs from the BSD version, the aim has been for HDB compatibility. Taylor UUCP has gotten a lot better in recent years. I'm not sure we'd've started with UUNET UUCP if Taylor had been as far along in 1991 as it is now. -- Paul Vixie La Honda, CA "Illegitimibus non carborundum." <paul@vix.com> pacbell!vixie!paul
