In my own : personalyu opinion (speaking for no one else) I'd say FreeBSD is more : suited to such tasks and a little less user friendly. Yep. It's only less user friendly if you're not used to the BSD way of doing things. If you're more of a system V person, linux might be a bit more familiar to you. : I'm hesitant to make these claims because everyone has their favorites : and likes different features. BOTH are very well done systems and are : good and stable as long as you stay away from some of the alpha releases. I've used both and they both have their place. Personally, if I was just trying to set up a quick little X-machine on my desk, I'd go with Linux. For a workhorse internet-box, I'd go with FreeBSD or BSD/OS.
