I recollect seeing a document down these lines on the NetBSD web site,
when I was poking around there recently. The short summary went "Don't
sweat it". The longer summary went "The xxxBSD's have more of a BSD-ish
slant, whereas Linux is more Sys-V-ish. xxxBSD tends to support a wider
variety of hardware, whereas Linux is in a more polished condition on
i386 platforms". That fits well with my own limited experience.
