I dare you to type one sentence without miscapitalizing every other word. Anyway... this thread has brought up lots of good points -- the problem is, noone at Matrox is seeing it. According to their message, they couldn't care less about unix/linux -- hence they wouldn't be reading the groups that this thread is on. Perhaps it might not be a bad idea to simply write up a statement that declares that we believe that Matrox releasing programming information for their cards will not hurt them, and perhaps -if- we can get a thousand or so people to sign it saying that they will not buy matrox products and will use their influence to move their companies and any friends away from purchasing Matrox products -- only then might Matrox care. Because now, they certainly don't. At the very least, we would deserve to get a message from someone realtively high up in matrox stating their position in clear terms, and not a reply from some overworked frazzled tech support guy. (All my mails from matrox tech support came from the same guy.. I guess they only have one person in tech support :-P) -- Vladimir -- vladimir@dsg.stanford.edu
