How long does it take you : to set up XFree86 for a new monitor/card combination that isn't documented : in the db file? : I can tell you that doing this for AcceleratedX takes a total of 1 minute. I am confused here - lets say I have a brand new FOO card, which is based on the FooBaz chipset. Now, I'll assume that AccelX supports FooBaz, so you don't have to wait for the next version or pay to do Xinside's beta testing. Now, you also happen to have a fooWare monitor, which isn't listed in any reference. Now, what about the Xinside set up lets you avoid finding the timings for your FooWare monitor, and for your FOO card, all in a minute? For me, wading through the menus took more than a minute, including start up, when I was trying a beta server long ago -- not to mention trying to figure out which keys it wanted ( F3, etc.. ) . What is the mechanism that Xinside uses to bypass entering monitor parameters?
