Here's my dmesg output:

1 3C5x9 board(s) on ISA found at 0x300
ep0 at 0x300-0x30f irq 10 on isa
ep0: aui/bnc/utp[*BNC*] address 00:a0:24:67:97:20 irq 10
ep0 not found at 0x2000

I had to configure the card with the 3com DOS routine
to get it to use IRQ10. The default was IRQ3, which
interfered with sio1. And, IRQ10 matched the factory
setting for the EISA version of the card.

device ep0 at isa? port 0x300 net irq ? vector epintr
device ep0 at isa? port 0x2000 net irq ? vector epintr

I want a kernel to look both for the 3c509 and its EISA
equivalent, since I have one of those boards.

They'll spend 1.3 times the amount we allocate them,
no matter how much it is.
