Nope, APM support was pretty broken in 2.1.  It's better in -stable and
-current, but needs more work.  I'm currently doing the work necessary
to get APM and PCCARD support into the FreeBSD tree, so hopefully it'll
work better in the next release.  I don't suspect I'll have PC-CARD
support working, but I do hope to have APM mostly working in the next
'official' release, and the ability to patch the kernel to get mostly
working PC-CARD support will also be on the CD.
